On 15th May 2026, a Free Medical Clinic was conducted at Saichal Village under the support of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, with the aim of extending primary healthcare services to rural residents and improving medical accessibility in the area.
The programme was led by a committed medical team consisting of Dr. C.K. Lalfakawmi, MBBS, supported by two nurses and one pharmacist, who collectively ensured the smooth delivery of healthcare services throughout the camp.
The clinic benefited approximately 99 individuals, many of whom sought medical assistance for common illnesses, general health concerns, and minor medical conditions. Patients received health check-ups, medical advice, treatment, and free medicines as required. The availability of no-cost medical support greatly benefited local residents, particularly those with limited access to regular healthcare facilities.
During the course of the programme, an emergency situation involving an injured child was also attended to immediately by the medical team. Necessary first aid and prompt care were provided at the site, ensuring the child’s condition was stabilized without delay.
The outreach programme reflects the continued importance of bringing healthcare services closer to communities residing in remote areas. Initiatives of this nature help strengthen community health awareness, encourage timely medical consultation, and support the broader goal of inclusive and accessible healthcare for all.
