HIV Project
HIV/AIDS, an enduring condition without a current cure, poses a global challenge, with Mizoram unfortunately ranking among the most affected regions. In response, MFM has partnered with I Tech (University of Washington) USA to address and ameliorate the prevailing circumstances for those afflicted by the disease. Embracing FHI 360's holistic approach to combating HIV and AIDS, rooted in groundbreaking research, consolidated evidence, and a longstanding commitment to direct community engagement, MFM seeks to make a significant impact.
Functioning as a Project Implementing Agency (PIA), we are wholeheartedly devoted to devising solutions that address the intricate dimensions of HIV and AIDS. The project is currently underway in Kolasib and Mamit, regions burdened with the highest incidence of the disease. Collaborating closely with the Target Intervention (TI) NGO, we focus on preventing and identifying key populations. Our strategies align with the 90-90-90 approach, guided by principles of human rights, mutual respect, and inclusivity.
