HULHLIAP SHORT STAY AFTER CARE SKILL DEVELOPMENT CLOSING FUNCTION OF THREE SKILL TRAINING PROGRAMMES

On 15th May 2026, the closing function of the 5th Batch Assistant Electrician, 4th Batch Aluminium Fabrication, and 3rd Batch Basic Food Processing training programmes under the Hulhliap Short Stay After Care Skill Development initiative was held at Lianchhiari Run, I&PR Department.

The programme was chaired by Pu Malsawmzuala Ralte, Chairman, Mizoram Youth Commission and Chairman, Core Committee on Hulhliap-SSC. Rev. J.C. Lalramliana delivered the devotional message and encouraged trainees to move forward confidently under God’s guidance.

Reports presented by Mission Foundation Movement and the Task Group on Aftercare highlighted that 194 beneficiaries have completed Aluminium Fabrication, Assistant Electrician, and Plumbing training programmes so far, while 31 trainees completed the Food Processing course. Several trainees are already engaged in livelihood activities and continue to receive guidance and placement support.

Pi Lalzarmawii, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, SW & WCD Department, appreciated the initiative and encouraged trainees to utilize their skills productively. Trainees also shared testimonies on how the programme helped them rebuild their lives through skill development and spiritual support.

Pi Lalrinpuii, Hon’ble Minister, SW & WCD Department, stated that the success of the Hulhliap Programme was made possible through the collective efforts of churches, government departments, and God’s blessings. She encouraged trainees to remain sincere, trustworthy, and proactive in seeking employment opportunities.

Certificates were distributed to the trainees by the Hon'ble Minister Pi Rinpuii. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Pu Lalnunhlua, Additional Secretary, SW & WCD Department.
